We Made It..with no problems..December 3

We made it, and all those things we feared (or I feared) would or could happen did not happen. We did not develop swine flu the night before we left. The taxi was on time, the flight to LA was not cancelled, there was no earthquake in LA. The plane to N. Zealand left on time and arrived on time, and our bags came through with no problem. We took a Sikh taxi--yes, expensive--to the house of our friends in a close-in suburb of Auckland. The house overlooks the sea, with splendid views. We are here until Saturday morning, when we pick up the rental car and set out for Wellington.
